Why Laura Shapiro Doesn't Ever Believe Me

Laura Shapiro never believes anything I say. This is completely understandable, as I often make spurious claims that few would ever take seriously. Once, while resting in bed, I told her that I invented the box-spring; another time, during the winter olympics, I "revealed" to her that I was, in fact, a retired bobsledder on the lam (wanted for perjury, irony of ironies!) The bottom line: when I told her I had my own blog, she did not believe.

Anyway, this post is here as proof that I have a blog, and that I didn't create it within the last fifteen minutes. That is all.

The InOgural Post

Ryan Adams once wryly observed that being young, "...is to be sad, is to be high." The Blogden Street Chronicles will strive to provide proof, by following the lives of six recent graduates thrown together into post-collegiate life on Ogden Street in northwest Washington, D.C., that the latter need not accompany the former. We invite you to pop in, to kick off your shoes, to find a spot on the couch, and to join us in a bowl, a video game, and, perhaps, a little philosophical discourse. In short: welcome to Blogden Street.
